What data we collect

Depending on how you use Beautimprint, this may include:

• Your email address and account details.
• Your profile answers about your hair, scalp, skin, body and grooming.
• Products you add to your Shelf, including states, notes and repurchase decisions.
• Journal entries, progress entries and any photos you choose to upload.
• Hair scan photos, used only to help estimate visible hair details for your profile.
• Your age, so we can give you the right version of Beautimprint.
• Child profiles created by a parent or guardian in Family Mode.

Why we process it

We use this information only to provide and personalise Beautimprint: to build your Imprint, match products and looks, remember your preferences, power Shelf, journal, journeys and progress features, and improve the service. Photos you upload are processed only to give you guidance — never to identify you, train advertising systems, or share with third parties for marketing.

Teens and children

Teens (13 to 17). You can create your own Beautimprint account from age 13. Teen accounts automatically get a teen version of the app, with products, looks and routines suited to their age. For teen accounts we keep the highest privacy settings on by default: photos, scans and answers stay private to the account, we do not collect location, we do not show advertising or brand promotions, and we never sell or share teen data for marketing. AI photo features are only used if the teen chooses them and agrees in the app. Teens can export or delete their data at any time from Profile, and a parent or guardian can contact us to ask about a teen's account.

Children under 13. Children under 13 cannot create their own account. They can only appear as a profile inside Family Mode, entered and controlled by a parent or guardian, and can be exported or deleted through that account.

If we learn that someone under 13 has created their own account, we will close it or ask a parent or guardian to move them into Family Mode.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of service providers for hosting, authentication, storage and image analysis. They process information only as needed to provide the service and are bound by contractual, privacy and security obligations.

AI features

If you choose to use the AI hair scan or the salon and barber visit planner, the photos or profile details involved are sent to a third-party AI model provider through our hosting provider, Base44, only to produce that result. We ask for your agreement in the app before any photo is sent. This data is not used for advertising or to identify you. You can use Beautimprint without these features and answer questions manually instead.

Retention

Your information is kept while your account is active and only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here. Some limited records may be retained longer where required for security, legal, fraud-prevention or operational reasons.

Your controls: export and delete

In the app, open Profile to use Export my data (a complete downloadable copy of your information) and Delete my account (permanently removes your login and your Beautimprint data). You can also correct or update your answers at any time in My Imprint.

Subscriptions

Beautimprint is free to join and use. Members who joined under an earlier free-access offer keep it for the full period they were promised. If we introduce subscriptions in future, they will be optional and announced in advance — you would always choose a plan yourself, and could cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings. If a purchase happens, it is processed by Apple and our subscription partner (RevenueCat) so we can unlock the right features on your account; we do not receive or store your full payment details.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Beautimprint develops. The updated date at the top of this page changes when material revisions are made.
